Hello, and WELCOME BACK! I can't beleive how quickly time has flown and it's back into business! The fresh air, warmer weather, and GREEN GRASS, just makes me itch to get outside with my camera! I am sorry to say that because of this being my last summer with ALL my babies at home before my oldest starts Kindergarten, I will be cutting back my sessions..:( I am currently limiting my sessions to family & close friends, with the exception of a few slots for past clients. I absolutely hate turning people down when I get the offer to get out my camera, but I know this is the best decision for me and my family. I have to spend all the time I possibly can with my babies and enjoy it as stress free as possible...:) I appreciate everyone's support and hopefully it won't be long until I jump back in with both feet, but for now I'm sure I'll keep extra busy! Please keep up to date with Abby Yoder Photography and give me your input on my work, I appreciate ALL comments!

Where has my time gone?

Even though I haven't posted on here for awhile, I haven't stopped taking pictures yet.... I will be done at the end of this month.. (for the season) with the exception of a few in October.... September has been a little slower thankfully. I only scheduled about 10 this month, and have 4 more to take... But here are a few shoots that have been taken the last few weeks...

This beautiful family didn't want to take family pictures, just the boys.. but I talked them into a few.. and look how perfect and natural...:)

Here is a storyboard that I made for them. Thought it would be easier to load this instead of a few pictures.. They were just such cute little boys, and the little one kept me runnin'

Another senior session with an awesome guy. He is a (almost) firefighter and you could tell that is his passion.. Along with his trumpet, we had alot of fun...

Gabe, Gabe, Gabe.. I can't beleive this little guy is ONE! My best friend and I each have two boys that are really close together.. and it has been soo fun to watch them grow..:)

This young lady was another senior session that we had alot of fun with.. She knew exactly what she wanted and I think we GOT IT! She is an amazing ball player.. and I wish her so much luck in the future....

Last Thursday I had two photo sessions, and after a busy weekend and week, so far, I am finally getting them edited... The first was of these two adorable little guys.. I got to take this baby's pictures when he was 4 months old, and now he is 7, so it's great to see how he has changed over the last couple of months... We had a great session, and although a few times they didn't want to cooperate we got MANY great shots for their momma to choose from.. Next on the editing list are some senior pictures... ... gotta get them finished, more session coming up Thursday..:)

The past few night after kids are in bed momma has hit the editing.. I have gotten three sessions edited this weekend, and tonight I am finally editing some of my cousins' BEAUTIFUL children... I still have more to go, but have to call it bedtime tonight.... I am SOOO INLOVE with this first picture... I get so excited when I get a good shot on accient..:)

This girl is GORGEOUS... Look at those eyes and her soft skin!

Little Wrigley is gonna be just like his sister.. he loves the camera..:)(well at least for the first 20 min.)

It's pretty tough getting good shots of little ones together at this age.. I did my best and think we got a few cuties!

Jan just wanted to let you know your pictures are next.. Tonight I had another senior session, although I will not be editing if for a few days. I am editing from last week still and finished editing a senior session this evening! This was a great session, I had fun trying to find some new/local places for my seniors. I am over half way finished with my 2010 seniors. I think I have 3 or 4 more. It's alot of fun to do, but does take alot of time! Here is a little sample from my senior session last Monday! Also a few of my lovely assistant that has been taggin along lately during my sessions :) Probably the only 5 year old that has gotten to hang out UNDER the bridge over the railroad tracks..:)

Last Monday while visiting my Sister and taking photos of my own children I snuck in another session of my sister's niece. She is such a precious little girl, and although her mom didn't think it was possible to get a shot of her on the go, I think we proved her wrong! It is most fun to get those 'on the go & in the grass' shots!

Last week was so very busy and now that we made it August hopefully things will start to slow a little. I took 7 sessions in 6 days and now i'm paying for it by being a little behind in editing. Don't worry, i'm getting there!

Oh, how I had SOOO much fun doing this LOVELY couples engagement pictures... I love taking mushy pictures ..:) maybe I just love LOVE!!! It is so fun to see a young, beautiful, couple so in love..:) I just had lots of fun editing this group for a change.. I don't get to do this very often...Hope you enjoy a little mushy sample, wish I could share them ALL I just LOVE them..!!! I wish these guys all the love in the world..., they deserve it! Ok, I think you get it..:) haha

feeling a little fake!

Last Thursday night I had the pleasure of taking Kevin's cousin Ryans pictures. We had lots of fun, although he said his smile was feeling a little fake by the time we were done.. I try to make it as painless as possible, :) but I don't think there are many guys that really ENJOY posing for the camera 100 times...:) Since these senior pictures I have taken engagement pictures, kids pictures, and more senior pictures.. all in a few short days.. Busy Busy is my middle name, more samples to come... stay tuned.........

Well another day has come and gone and i'm finally finished editing pictures from a senior I photographed on Tuesday evening... Things turned out great and we got finished just as it started to sprinkle.. His aunt had alot of really old buildings that we got to use and I had alot of fun doing some new things. It's hard when you have quite a few seniors from the same school, you want to make sure they are all 'original' in there own way.. Hopefully I am accomplishing that with this years class...

Well after a little break from pictures and a BUSY BUSY past two weeks.. Thursday brought another senior session... I've only started editing them, but here a few of the first couple poses...

8 more sessions to come in the next 2 weeks...yikes it's gonna be busy around here AGAIN.. does it ever slow down??

SENIOR Kick Off!

Well, I have lots of seniors scheduled for July and August and had my first tonight.. Melinda is such a sweetheart, we have gotten to know her well since we have been involved with the youth, and her family is just a pleasure to be around... We had lots of fun and I was mainly doing her sports pictures, but we did do some with her sis and mom.... It definately was one of the cooler sessions I have had lately.. :) it's been so nice outside.. loving it! I haven't nearly been through all her photos, but had to edit a few as I was skimming through.. Enjoy a little sample!

This evening was full of photos for me...I had three sessions and they were all such BEAUTIFUL families.. "the love of a family, is lifes greatest blessing" I love that saying and it is so very true.... Here is a little preview from my day.. We got such great shots at my parents house last week that we went back for more...:)

Wow, What a day! First of all I left my kiddos with a "sitter" TODAY... I have never had to leave my kids with anyone besides "family"*until today(i know i'm so blessed).. It was only for a little over four hours, but with my mom working full time now, and my MIL having surgery, she will be out of commision for a little while...:) I had to start finding someone that the kids would be comfortable with.. Thank goodness for the youth girls... they did great from what I hear, and the kids did fine and had lots of fun...
I scheduled 4 sessions today.. starting at 2 and hitting every hour until 6pm.... so yes, I was outside for 4 hours without sunscreen..:( bad me.. i'm a little red.. I just didn't really think about it, but it was HOT!!!!.. but when I came home and seen all the great shots we got today, it was all worth it.... Here are a few samples for those families just "waiting patiently" to see what they were sweating the day away for!! There are many more to come.... just wanted to give ya a taste... and WOW what a sky we had today!!!

Knepp Family & Murphy Wedding!

Last Saturday I had a full family photo session. This family has 5 kids so I had my work cut out for me.. Between the couple breaks we had to take for a little rain we did get them finished and I am very happy with the results.. There were LOTS of pictures and I have been up many late nights this week trying to get them all edited.. here are just a few of my favorites.. there were many though.. such a beautiful and fun family! Enjoy...

After the family session we had to hurry to attend a wedding and I had the pleasure of taking a few pictures for the beautiful bride and groom..I have not commited to doing weddings yet in my photography because I'm not sure if i want to get started in that or not.. it takes alot of time, but the few I got to play around with were alot of fun so we will see what the future holds for that.... Eddy was in our wedding, so it was great to be a part of their day...
